Call for applications: Artist-in- residence scholarship in a city district

“The flying artist’s room in an urban setting” is an innovative format developed by the Crespo Foundation that enables children, young people and adults to participate in cultural education in the public space. For 2024 the Crespo Foundation is inviting applications for three four-month artist-in-residence scholar-ships for individual artists or artist duos.

Applications are welcome from individual artists or artist duos working in different disciplines who explore the theme of digitality in their artistic creation and see the use of technology as a central cultural technique.

Please complete the following application form and also send the following documents either via file upload or by email to
bewerbung@fliegendes-kuenstlerzimmer.de:

• a portfolio with samples of your own artwork and examples of your work with children and young people and other target groups
• a cover letter with initial ideas about how offers and collaboration with the city district could be designed (one page maximum)

When applying as an artist duo, please fill out one application per person and complete the fields “Self-description” and “Motivation and idea” together.
